The Women’s Register is a list of women who are interested in being on government boards and committees. It includes information on work experience, qualifications, skills and areas of expertise. The women registered come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of skills and experience.
The Register is a way of matching board and committee vacancies with women who have the skills needed.
The Northern Territory has an average of 28% female representation on government boards and committees. Decisions made by these bodies have an important influence on the way that our communities function and women should be equally represented in this decision making process.
